The App is provided by Grenland Kompetanse AS (“we”, “us” or “our”).
2. What the App does
The App is a scorekeeping tool for live Open Face Chinese Poker games. It can calculate and save scores, track players and rounds, show player statistics, suggest a point settlement, customize game displays, share game information through a GameID, and optionally use the camera to recognize cards.
The App does not provide gambling, betting, payment or money-transfer services. Settlement results are suggestions based on the recorded point totals only. It is your responsibility to follow applicable laws and the rules agreed by your players.
3. Free use and optional purchases
The App allows the first 100 newly saved scoring rounds on an installation at no charge. After that allowance is used, each new free game can still contain up to three saved rounds.
Pro is an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks Pro status and includes an allowance of 10,000 saved rounds. It is not a subscription and is not an unlimited-round purchase. After the included allowance is used, an optional consumable pack adds another 10,000 rounds. Editing an existing round does not use another round from the allowance.
Availability and the price shown in your local currency come from the Apple App Store or Google Play and may vary by platform, country, tax and store settings. The relevant store processes payment and applies its purchasing, cancellation and refund rules, together with any mandatory consumer rights.
A verified Pro entitlement may be restored through the relevant store where supported. Consumable round packs cannot normally be restored by an app store after they have been fulfilled. The remaining round balance is stored locally and is not currently synced to a named OFC Calculator account, so it may not transfer to another device or survive deletion of the App's local data.
4. Licence and acceptable use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the App for its intended purpose, subject to the app-store terms that apply to your download.
You must not:
- use the App unlawfully or to infringe another person's rights;
- interfere with, overload or attempt unauthorized access to the App, Firebase services or another game;
- share a GameID in a way that gives unintended persons access to a game;
- copy, resell, reverse engineer or modify the App except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- use automated methods to scrape or abuse the service.
5. Your game information
You are responsible for the player names, game names, scores, card information and other content you enter or submit. Use names or labels your players are comfortable sharing. Do not submit unlawful, harmful or unnecessary personal information.
You retain ownership of your content. You give us permission to process it only as needed to provide, secure, measure and improve the App, as explained in our Privacy Policy. Deleting a game removes the local game and closes its active GameID, but a server-side archive may remain as described in that policy.
6. Scores, statistics and settlements
The App assists with calculation but may contain errors or may not match every house rule. Player statistics and settlement suggestions depend entirely on the rounds and settings recorded in the App. You must review player names, entered hands, bonuses, royalties, totals and suggested transfers before relying on a result. The players are solely responsible for resolving rule differences and any settlement between them.
7. Camera recognition and remote submissions
Card recognition is optional and may be inaccurate because of image quality, lighting, card design or other factors. Always verify scanned cards and calculated scores before saving a round. You may use manual entry instead.
If the game owner enables player scanning, players with the GameID may submit confirmed hand information to the open round. The owner remains responsible for reviewing the submission before applying or relying on it.
8. Third-party services
The App depends on services provided by Google Firebase, OpenAI, Unity In-App Purchasing, Apple and Google. Their own terms and policies may apply. We are not responsible for third-party services or store availability, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
9. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, change or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law or improve the App. Online features may occasionally be unavailable. Keep any information you cannot afford to lose outside the App. Changes will not limit rights that applicable law gives you for a completed purchase.
10. Intellectual property
The App, website, design, software, logos and other materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect card recognition, error-free calculations or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits, interrupted games, or disagreements and settlements between players arising from use of the App. Our liability is not limited where doing so would be unlawful.
13. Ending use
You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to prevent misuse, protect the service or comply with law. Provisions that by their nature should continue will survive termination.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections or rights you have under the laws of your country. Disputes should first be raised with us so we can try to resolve them informally.
